Email methods comparison

FileHold offers a few different methods for interacting with email. The functions that are available will depend on which FileHold client you have available. There are four different clients that interact with email: FileHold Desktop Application (FDA), Web Client, FileHold Office Client (FOC), and Outlook add-in. The FDA and FOC clients require a Windows workstation. FOC also requires Microsoft Classic Outlook. FOC is optionally installed during the FDA installation.

Users can have a uniform email experience when they use the Outlook add-in as it works equally on Classic Outlook, New Outlook, and Web Outlook.

While New Outlook appears to run as a desktop application and as a replacement for Classic Outlook, it lacks or handles differently the decades of enterprise features supported by Classic Outlook. If you are thinking of switching to New Outlook, you should carefully examine your document workflows to make sure what you need is supported.
